The Sr Manager, Network Services is responsible for managing the resources, budget and operations for Valvoline’s global data, voice rewards and associated services in support of the company’s operational and strategic business objectives. This role is responsible for leading the network team and third party service providers in strategy, planning, design and operational management of global network services including data center, cloud connectivity, WAN/LAN(SDWAN), internet connectivity, WiFi, remote access, voice, field services and associated risk management and controls relating to confidentiality, integrity and availability.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Develop the technical strategy and services of all network infrastructure and works with leadership and team to establish the tactical plans, projects and objectives needed to accomplish these objectives and ensure their attainment.
Managing large, complex projects with respect to quality, cost and speed to include defining and analyzing requirements; developing/maintaining project plans and documentation; managing project budget and capital spend.
Work closely with IT leadership and business to establish strategy and technical roadmap across global infrastructure.
Provide oversight on service delivery to include reviewing service delivery process to maximize efficiency, suggesting/implementing service delivery improvements; providing general oversight for network services while ensuring customer satisfaction and timely delivery of service.
Manage relationships with key vendors and service providers to ensure cost effective delivery that meets the needs of the organization; ensure licensing agreements meet our use cases and are budgeted and managed accordingly.
Provide leadership, vision and guidance to the network team, developing their skills and capabilities to meet the needs of the business; work collaboratively with senior leadership on capacity planning and hiring.
Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management or related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience.)
Minimum of 10 years experience in progressive network engineering roles with oversight for technical solutions and service delivery
Experience in large global organizations
Expert proficiency with the following technical domains: Voice, Wireless, Enterprise Network Technologies, SDWAN, Routing and Switching, and High Availability networks
Expert level experience with TCP/IP and networking protocols
Expert level experience with MPLS, VPN and telecommunications
Strong project management skills with a prior successful record of delivering large programs/projects, with experience in IT Service Portfolio Management and Agile delivery methods preferred.
Leadership skills, including the ability to supervise, lead, coach, motivate and work through others to achieve desired results
Ability to manage complexity, think analytically and allocate time effectively between multiple priorities or functional areas
Demonstrated experience developing and managing strategic relationships with technology vendors, suppliers, and internal business partners.
Experience leading successful teams comprised of on-shore and off-shore personnel, in conjunction with 3rd-party service providers, in a global context.
Exceptional leadership skills with ability to build strong partnerships and effectively influence outside direct span of control
Budget planning and financial management
Success in leveraging traditional best practices, such as ITIL or similar, as well as bimodal integration of waterfall and agile concepts
Ability to travel up to 20%
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
