In this role, as a Senior Product Manager on the Analytics team, you’ll help define the strategy & build a new wave of augmented analytic experiences targeting less technical Business Users. Augmented Analytics is one of the most dynamic areas of investment at Tableau. Our Augmented Analytics teams use statistics, machine learning, and AI to assist with data analysis, insight generation and insight explanation so that Business Users can monitor, explore and analyze data in Tableau with less need for support from Analysts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to vision, strategy and roadmap for new Augmented Analytics experiences crafted for Business Users

  • Be the end to end owner of your area of the product. Manage the business case, identify the value propositions and maintain a 6-9 month groomed backlog for the product requirements needed to address it

  • Be the go-to person for your product area within the organization. Communicating & collaborating with a wide range of internal partners & contributors across engineering, UX and User Research

  • Taking a data-driven approach to feature design and planning

  • Being the advocate for the customer and owning / understanding their use cases and problems to solve

  • Understanding the competitive landscape for your product

  • Presenting existing & future Tableau product capabilities & roadmaps to customers & stakeholders

  • Collaborate with product marketing on positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies

  • Be the trusted advisor during customer interactions, events, and through social media

Requirements include;

  • Experienced . You have proven experience in product management with SaaS-based products. Ideal candidates have experience with managing products used in support of data analysis.

  • Educated. A related technical degree is required.

  • Data-driven. You know how to use data to advise your understanding and turn it into action and decisions.

  • Customer-focused. You love speaking with customers (internal & external) and learning more about their use cases & challenges and can translate these customer needs into product requirements

  • Strategic . You consider your features in the context of the overall strategy. You wrangle comfortably with the discomfort of making decisions and having discussions in the absence of complete information

  • Self-starter. You are intrinsically motivated and committed at driving projects from start to finish.

  • Technically Savvy. You love software and understand the joys and challenges of the sophisticated building process.

  • Great people skills. You enjoy collaborating with, learning from, and guiding other folks from multiple teams.

  • Communicator . You have strong written and verbal communication stills and easily communicate both business and technical topics to diverse audiences.

  • Creative & Curious . You seek to continuously expand your areas of expertise, learn new ways to do things, and understand why things are the way they are.
