Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5 years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.

Oracle Developer Relations (DevRel) is seeking an experienced Program Manager to execute our global Developer Events strategy coordinating Oracle’s participation in both live and virtual conferences, events, hackathons, and webinars; coordinating submissions to Call for Papers; and driving DevRel’s participation in annual Oracle Cloud World events.

In this role, you will work with the Head of Communities to contribute to the DevRel event strategy, evaluate prospective events to scope DevRel’s potential participation; own the relationships with the event organizers and drive contracting for sponsorships; prepare the event plan, coordinate across teams at Oracle to ensure a successful execution of the events where we are participating including responses to Call for Papers; and coordinating the production of the DevRel space at Oracle Cloud World. You may also travel to some of these events to coordinate on-site and assist in our visitor space dependent on business needs.

To succeed in this role, you should be passionate about technology, be proactive and tenacious at driving activities with stakeholders, and have strong attention to detail while managing multiple projects simultaneously. A familiarity with cloud computing is a plus.

This fully remote role is primarily aligned to US business hours (US/Eastern, US/Central, or US/Pacific), but will work with our worldwide teams and may require activities outside of these business hours.

Responsibilities :

  • Own the Developer Events program, by defining desired outcomes, monitoring objectives, communicating goals, and setting priorities in conjunction with the Head of Communities at DevRel.

  • Coordinate with external stakeholders including conference organizers and logistics providers.

  • Drive the execution of the events where DevRel is participating, including lining up speakers and paper submissions, exhibit booth collateral, swag logistics, post-event follow-up and surveys, and similar tasks related to executing high-quality engaging events that showcase Oracle cloud as a great place to learn, get technical help, access new and trending technologies, prototyping new ideas, test existing projects, and host production grade applications.

  • Collaborate with teams within DevRel and across Oracle to produce content and deliverables required for the execution of our events strategy.

  • Provide regular reports and post-event readouts on the outcomes of the events where DevRel participated.


  • 5+ years of experience in event planning and execution.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills, including managing multiple projects in parallel.

  • Valid passport.

  • Project or program management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, etc.) a plus.

  • Bilingual (or more!) a plus.
