*Valvoline Global Operations Headquarters is located in Lexington, KY. We are open to candidates working in a remote capacity in other states, but willing to visit HQs as needed.

How You’ll Make an Impact

The Senior Salesforce Product Owner , working hand in hand with stakeholders, partners, and the digital IT team to lead the development and delivery of high-quality products that meet both user needs and business objectives for the strategic company digital vision. Manages and executes enterprise digital roadmap across all regions to bring new experiences and features to market that increase customer satisfaction, user experience and revenue growth. Incumbent will engage with stakeholders to define user stories. This role will balance business value with technical feasibility while prioritizing stories and features, optimizing cost, and improving delivery efficiency. This role will provide solution design by leading the overall translation of business requirements into technical solutions.

In the role, you would be responsible for:

  • As the owner of execution of the enterprise digital products roadmap, serve as the conduit between the business and IT for product development for large projects and/or workstreams through the Agile methodology. Spearheads the development of a product from discovery phase to release to the users, optimizing it at every release. Provide regular reporting and executive leadership updates including product scope, schedule and planning.

  • Owner of the prioritized sprint backlog for the Customer Experience product portfolio across the enterprise. Leads the gathering of business requirements in order to write user stories that align to the features and ensure the sprint backlog stays full and is prioritized. Leads the development of user stories from prioritized features, identify acceptance criteria for user stories, approve each user story during the sprint, ensure that user stories meet the acceptance criteria and are updated in the system. Based on teams’ best practices and work processes, ensures consistency across team of product owners. Collaborates with project teams, between functions and with management to resolve issues. Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path activities. Owns all escalated issues, risks, challenges and proactively works to resolve. Works with other digital and IT teams on joint roadmaps.

  • Working alongside senior leadership, creates a multi-year vision and yearly roadmap based on customer feedback, corporate strategy, and data. Provides thought leadership, input, and guidance to executive leadership for the overall plan, roadmap, and vision by understanding the impact and business case of the product to the customer lifetime value.

  • Consultant for defining the business processes for product portfolio roadmap objectives. Ensures that business processes are development and defined for delivered features both current and future state. Advises the digital lead to understand the change impact to stakeholders. Assist the other Valvoline councils (Customer, Material Master, Product Content Management) with defining business process for the product portfolio.

  • Conducts in-depth market research and competitive analysis to stay informed of industry trends of the product portfolio and inform strategic product decisions. Stays up to date with agile development best practices.

  • Leading other members of Digital Customer Experience team to understand product KPI’s to drive revenue growth, customer satisfaction and increase adoption. By making data driven decisions, iterates on features to enhance user satisfaction. Identifies areas for improvement and optimization that drive the maximum value for the business objectives.

  • Mentor and coach junior Product Owners, instilling best practices and refining their product management skills. Provides leadership and guidance to a team of Product Owners, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, technology, engineering, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in Product Owner, Business Analyst, IT, or related experience and/or

  • Minimum 7+ years of agile development, strategic, cross project coordination to ensure for effective use of corporate resources

  • Strong customer orientation skills, ability to to prioritize customer needs, communicate effectively, and strive to deliver excellent service, fostering lasting client relationships

  • Highly skilled at product management and communications skills to effectively manage large, complex, and/or multiple projects with tight deadlines, interdependencies, and drive alignment and execution across groups in a face paced environment

  • Individuals with a commitment to work standards deliver high-quality results, pay attention to detail, and consistently seek improvement in their work processes.

  • Ability to identify opportunity, plan and drive a product portfolio and manage sprint backlog across multiple regions and business units

  • Highly skilled at identifying risks and issues and manage corrective actions

  • Advanced skills in designing and developing digital customer relationship management tools and experiences

  • Advanced experience managing and utilizing resources across projects

  • Up-to-date with the latest Customer Relationship Management, Web and B2B e-commerce trends, techniques and technologies

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

What Will Set You Apart

  • 7+ years of Salesforce experience (i.e. Sales Cloud experience preferred)

  • 5+ years of website development experience (for the business)

  • Scrum Master or equivalent certification.

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner or equivalent certification

  • Agile project management or equivalent certification
