The LinkedIn Learning Discovery team is looking for a talented iOS full stack Engineer to build features that help learners develop the skills they need. The team is focused on connecting Learners to the right content at the right time across both the Learning app and LinkedIn Flagship app. Owning iOS Learning app features including api development for Learning Homepage, Learning Search, and all learning discovery surfaces in the LinkedIn Flagship app. You’ll be responsible for collaborating closely with our Artificial Intelligence teams to deliver the best recommendations to our Learners, while also thinking deeply about the Learner user experience.

Responsibilities: * You will design and execute user-facing features for the native LinkedIn app on iOS devices by leveraging mobile operating system frameworks for multi-threading, persisting data, and managing user experience and graphics across multiple screen sizes. * You will use the latest cutting edge technologies and libraries suggested by Apple for building responsive native apps for iOS. * You will build scalable and performant server side APIs * You will build scalable native mobile apps using LinkedIn’s internal libraries. * You will make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, write code, and deliver with speediness and quality. * You will produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed and checked in regularly for continuous integration. * You will provide technical leadership, driving and performing best engineering practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross-functional, and company-wise critical programs. * You will identify, leverage, and successfully evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity.
Basic Qualifications: * BS (or higher, e. . , MS, or PhD) in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e. . , physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience . * 2+ years of industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications: * BS and 5+ years of relevant work experience, MS and 4+ years of relevant work experience, or PhD and 2+ years of relevant work experience. * Foundation in computer science with a strong understanding of data structures, object-oriented programming, and algorithms. * Knowledge of common mobile application design patterns (MVC, MVVM, MVP, etc. ) * Understanding of best practices for multithreading and performance optimizations. * Knowledge of iOS debugging tools including profiling app performance. * Experience in writing automated tests for iOS apps and APIs

The pay range for this role is $109,000 to $182,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
