Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s next-gen architecture specifically meets the needs of today’s enterprise by providing faster and more predictable performance, better pricing and security, and enhanced compatibility for enterprise workloads.

The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Logging service is a highly scalable and fully managed single pane of glass for all the logs in your tenancy. Logging provides access to logs from Oracle Cloud Infrastructure resources. These logs include critical diagnostic information that describes how resources are performing and being accessed.

We are looking for Senior SDEs with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in all areas of cloud service software engineering: high scale distributed systems, observability, identity and security.

This is a greenfield opportunity to design and build new cloud services from the ground up. We are growing fast, still at an early stage, and working on ambitious new initiatives. As a senior software engineer, you will be part of the technical team, which is going to design, architect, and build best-in-class software architecture.

As part of this effort, the team need hands-on senior engineers with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in distributed systems, large-scale infrastructure, and highly available services. An engineer at any level can have a significant technical and business impact.

As a senior member of the team, you will participate in entire software development lifecycle. You will own and deliver the software design and development for major components and features of the service. You should be both a rock-solid coder and a trouble shooter. You should value simplicity, quality and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.


  • We are looking for 5-8+ years’ experienced backend developer. Having a strong knowledge of large scale highly available distributed systems is a plus.

  • Must have a strong knowledge of object oriented paradigm, data structures, algorithms, operating systems, distributed systems fundamentals.

  • Strong knowledge of Java is preferred and experience in one of the scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Bash etc is a strong plus.

  • Experience in microservices architecture, API driven service oriented architecture, Kubernetes, Containers, Cloud Control Plane is a plus.

  • Working familiarity networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS), and security architectures is preferred.

  • Must possess a strong troubleshooting skill.

  • Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized distributed infrastructure is a strong plus.

Hiring Range: from $74,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
