Job Description

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Small Business Content and Consideration Marketing Lead for our small business marketing team. Reporting to the Vice President of Alliances and Business Essentials Marketing, this role will create the strategy and execute the mid-funnel layer of marketing that will include a small business resource center. In addition, this role will own small business content and drive traffic to these resources while demonstrating the value of consideration marketing within the funnel.

The successful candidate works closely with teams across the Bank to create valuable resources for business owners while using primary and secondary research to drive decision making. This hire will be an early hire as part of a team poised to drive growth for U.S. Bank. Additional responsibilities include:

• Sets the vision, strategy, and roadmap for consideration marketing for Business Essentials and other Bank products that support business owners;

• Builds a world class digital resource center for small business owners;

• Manages the content strategy and creation of content to fill the resource center;

• Drives traffic to the content and increases offer acceptance at the action layer of marketing through go-to market strategies, including targeting, segmentation, positioning, messaging, and channel selection tactics;

• Develops presentations and materials for executives by leveraging data to derive actionable insights and recommendations;

• Participates and influences the annual marketing planning and budgeting process and manages the consideration budget;

• Manages the relationships with agencies, including budget, creative briefs, strategy planning, and campaign execution;

• Develops reporting and KPIs for assigned projects and manages to the goals while adjusting plans as needed to meet goals; and

• Builds strong relationship within marketing and across partner organizations to coordinate internal discussions and communications that drive key strategic initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

• 10 or more years of related experience in marketing and marketing strategy with proven ability to deliver results

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Ten-plus years of experience in product marketing and growth marketing roles at one or more fast-growing consumer tech companies, banks, or financial services organizations and five-plus years of experience building and leading high-performing marketing teams

• A strong track record of spearheading effective product launches and growth marketing campaigns across multiple product lines and channels

• A scrappy and resourceful way of operating and ability to unblock yourself to achieve your goals, always thinking creatively about your approach to problems

• Strong business acumen and extensive experience with core analytical concepts like LTV, incrementality, and statistical significance, along with the ability to effectively synthesize competitive trends, market data, and customer insights into a plan of action

• Highly-collaborative leadership skills and a comfort working closely with a variety of different functions to achieve your goals

• Ability to manage and plan at both the strategic and operational levels and to consistently meet or exceed planned objectives

• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills

• Experience managing agency relationships

• Excellent leadership and people skills, including ability to influence without direct authority and lead cross-functional teams to meet common goals and objectives

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, skillsets, strengths, and weaknesses among the team

• Experience working in an agile environment and a willingness to embrace change

• Excellent and efficient skills using MS Excel and PowerPoint tools

• Advanced degree

Salary range reflected is an estimate of base pay and is for the primary location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $120,870.00 - $142,200.00 - $156,420.00
