Overview:

Competitive Computing (C2), A Xerox Business Solutions Company, is seeking a Software Engineer. This individual is an experienced consultant capable of leading a team to plan, design, code, test and deploy computer programs and applications following the C2 Software Development Life Cycle and best practices and configure platforms and software solutions in support of our clients’ software application requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients, peers, and management to identify requirements and specifications

  • Design, propose, and develop custom eCommerce solutions and accompanying technical diagrams

  • Produce computer software and application code based on requirements

  • Participate in team work sessions to design new features and enhancements for existing software products and applications

  • Study and practice ever-evolving technical best practices, coding standards, and process improvement.

  • Pursue and maintain technical certifications

  • Perform code review of other developers’ work, while adhering to strict quality standards, regulatory compliance, and information security standards, and likewise submit code for review by others.

  • Interact with project managers, analysts, creative/UX designers and clients

  • Perform root cause analysis on defects and ensure proper resolution

  • Keep current with technology trends, industry developments, and project delivery methodology

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field

  • Proficiency in coding languages, frameworks, content delivery, database storage, source version control, devOps, collaboration, and cloud services.

  • Languages: C#, Java, PHP, python

  • Web technology: HTML 5, CSS3, Javascript library, jQuery, React

  • Frameworks: ASP.NET Core, JavaScript framework, Angular

  • Database technology: SQL, SQL Server, mySQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, Oracle

  • Cloud Services: Azure, Amazon Web Services

  • Collaboration tools: Microsoft Azure DevOps, Atlassian Jira and Confluence

  • Experience with eCommerce website implementations

  • Experience with Content Management Systems

  • Modern front-end development and build practices

  • Residence in the continental United States

  • Authorization to work in the United States

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills

  • Excellent customer relationship skills

  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently or as part of a team

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Proficient at performing client work remotely with virtual teams

  • Primarily works in a professional office setting

  • Occasional travel to clients for meetings and onsite work

  • Prolonged periods of working on a computer

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time
