Required Skills:

Software Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with our product and design teams to build new and innovative application experiences for Android.

  2. Implement custom native user interfaces using the latest Android programming techniques.

  3. Build reusable Android software components for interfacing with our back-end platforms.

  4. Analyze and optimize UI and infrastructure application code for quality, efficiency, and performance.

  5. May Telecommute from anywhere in the U.S.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 36 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Experience must include 36 months in each of the following:

  2. C, C++, C#, or Java

  3. Relational databases and SQL

  4. Software development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs), and revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, or Perforce)

  5. Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS as evidenced by file manipulation, advanced commands, and shell scripting

  6. Building highly-scalable performant solutions

  7. Data processing, programming languages, databases, networking, operating systems, computer graphics, or human-computer interaction

  8. Applying algorithms and core computer science concepts to real world systems as evidenced by recognizing and matching patterns from different areas of computer science in production systems.
