Flexential Solutions Architect in Helena, Montana
This position can sit in any Data Center market.
The Solutions Architect’s (SA) are a critical component to the overall execution of the Solutions Engineering organization. The SA functions similarly to the Solutions Engineer (SE) role except where the strategic nature of an opportunity or the complexity, requires the engagement of an SA. The SA will also act as an execution arm for the initiatives of the SE organization as well as be the lead in proactive engagements with our strategic customers and prospects.
The SA will work with other organizations within Flexential to ensure that a cross-collaborative environment is achieved to accomplish the stated goals of Flexential. Working with the Product Line Managers in a Subject Matter Expert role will ensure that critical information needed by the SE organization is obtained and the SE’s are trained on how to position the products and services as a part of the solutions being designed.
The SA will also work with our sales teams and prospects to identify the critical aspects of a customer’s pain, the knowledge of how to contract Flexential’s products and services that solves those pains. The ability to articulate those solutions to our customers and prospects, at all levels within their organization is core to the success of an SA. In additional to supporting all aspects of Flexential’s sales efforts, along with the Flexential sales teams, in acquiring new business as well as increasing sales within our existing customer base. The SA works closely with sales representatives, customers and prospects, to further qualify sales opportunities and ensure the Flexential solutions offerings are a good fit for both the prospect and Flexential.
Key Responsibilities And Essential Job Functions
Technical leadership for the Solutions Engineering team.
Subject Matter Experts that will preside over Flexential’s core offerings.
Execution of initiatives determined by Flexential leadership.
Continual engagement with other teams within Flexential to ensure alignment across functions.
Proactive engagement with key prospects to guide them in the adoption of Flexential solutions.
Education of Flexential’s products and services to the Solutions Engineering teams.
Participation in the development of the SE Certification process for Flexential products and Services.
Discovery of customer’s critical business issues and requirements and designing solutions to meet the requirements.
Design solutions that address those customer issues and meets their requirements.
Creation and presentation of all documentation required to present Flexential’s solutions.
Creating and leading or participating in customer presentations.
Ensuring accurate contracting of solutions in Flexential’s quoting system.
Participation in qualified RFP/RFI projects.
Providing compelling colocation tours.
Coordination with other teams and third-party partners.
Participation for any customer implementations/provisioning issues after contract.
Building strong customer relationships.
Interface with all local and central teams to ensure solutions are accurate and deliverable.
Continual education specific to Flexential’s core offerings and the industries they serve.
A proven ability to present a strong written and verbal proposal.
Articulation of solutions to all levels within an organization.
Understanding and adoption of the Flexential Sales methodology.
Participation in local/regional/national events to promote Flexential or our partners.
Perform other duties as required and assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
A minimum of 5 years of industry relevant sales, consulting or solutions engineering
A minimum of 5 years of relevant technical complex IT sales engineering experience
A Demonstrated ability to present solutions in person to C-level executives and Engineers
A proven history of successful engagements in acquiring new business
Other training and experience may be substituted for the job requirements at the discretion of the manager
Base Pay Range : Annualized salary range offered for this position is estimated to be $120k - $160k , however, the actual pay range depends each candidate’s experience, location and qualifications.
Variable Pay : Commission will be based on attainment of sales goals, and pursuant to the sales compensation plan.
