The Special Populations Supervisor in the Treatment Bureau is responsible for management and implementation of a variety of community-based behavioral health programs including making determinations about relevance and validity, and assessing options, alternatives, and solutions that are directed toward improving health outcomes for adults with severe disabling mental illness, adolescents and adults with substance use disorder, and their families. This position is responsible for the fiscal management of a multi-million-dollar annual budget, including close monitoring of the budget, projecting expenditures, identifying potential problems, and taking the actions necessary to keep expenditures within budget. What You Can Offer Us * Extensive knowledge of program management and organizational principles. * Extensive knowledge of quality assurance and quality improvement principles, practices, and review processes. * Extensive knowledge of federal and state program policies, mandates, directives and intents. * Thorough knowledge of concepts and practices of community-based behavioral health care, member directed care, issues surrounding freedom of choice, social, psychosocial and community impacts on members and their families. * Ability to work independently and a willingness to work with people in a positive and productive manner to build effective working relationships and resolve issues. * Meet minimum qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or health or health-related fields. • Four years of professional experience. • One year of supervisory experience managing professional staff. • Other combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
