The Role at a Glance
The Sr. Analyst, Market Intelligence will provide subject matter expertise and direction on complex initiatives specific to market intelligence. You will enhance Lincoln’s Group Protection’s position in the marketplace by supporting business leaders & cross-functional areas with actionable market & competitive information & insights. Help support the strategy of the business by identifying potential areas of growth within the broader Group Benefit market including new distribution and product development opportunities.
What you'll be doing
Works with cross-functional stakeholders to understand tactical & strategic needs for competitive information in order to enhance decision making, positioning & product/service offerings.
Partners with internal stakeholders to understand market & competitive strengths/weaknesses/opportunities/threats; provide actionable assessment; support the identification, creation &execution of activities based on this assessment.
Oversees the development and continual improvement of Group Benefit’s market Intelligence to provide an understanding of the external marketplace environment and offer insight into impacts and potential courses of action for the business.
Develops positioning solutions, and materials to support these solutions, to enhance Group Protection’s competitiveness against key competitors & assist in winning more business.
Provides intelligence, expertise, and consultive guidance to projects and products & provide training activities as needed.
Identifies market opportunities, and work with key stakeholders to develop and support the execution of strategies to realize these opportunities.
Partners with leadership to understand market and competitive trouble-spots and/or competitive advantages and develop tools to assist positioning.
Designs and continuously improves Market Intelligence capabilities and best practices to support Group Protection’s goals.
Develops appropriate communication devices to share meaningful and actionable intelligence with appropriate audiences in a timely manner.
Acts as organizational resource to drive innovative thought processes or reviews of innovation opportunities.
Prepares and manage competitor primary and secondary market research with internal/external key partners.
Partners with internal stakeholders to review and disseminate key tenets of recent market research.
Builds and maintains an industry network which provides a comprehensive view of the marketplace.
Creates and manages an active competitive intelligence information and benchmarking database.
Provides guidance for product positioning, sales training and 'ready to sell' activities.
What we’re looking for
4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
5 – 7+ Years experience in market insight, product marketing, competitive intelligence, or marketing that directly aligns to the specific responsibilities for this role.

Pay Range: $87,700 - $159,900
Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
