Thermo Fisher Scientific Sr Director, Program Management and Strategy Deployment in Helena, Montana

Enterprise Services Senior Director of Program Management and Strategy Deployment, reporting directly to the Vice President, GM will lead the development effort of our global strategic business plans, annual operating plans, and will drive the execution of these plans across the global Enterprise organization and functions in partnership with Enterprise's senior leadership team. Managing data-driven strategies throughout the global organization across EMEA and NAM positions this role to deliver a uniquely significant impact on the outcomes in Enterprise Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Development of Strategic and Operating Plans for the Global Enterprise Organization

  • Coordinate the Strategy Deployment process for the business and ensure strong alignment with STRAP objectives and divisional partners

  • Lead Enterprise strategic planning (STRAP) process ensuring strong alignment with Divisions

  • Oversee ES Program Management Office (PMO) Functions, as Required; Track Action Items and Drive Execution of Strategic and Operational Initiatives Across all Enterprise Functions and Leadership Staff

  • Drive Data-Driven Strategies Across the Global Organization Ensuring Alignment with Operational Plans

  • Serves as integrator across all ES and divisional partner workstreams

  • Prepare Executive Level Material for Division level business reviews, Customer Presentations, Executive Reviews, Employee and Customer Meetings

  • Represent VP/GM in Executive level meetings as needed

  • Evaluate and Assess Plans and Projects with appropriate delivery of outcomes

  • Act as liaison for select strategic initiatives and ensure the appropriate level of focus and discipline in the implementation phase

  • Work on special projects as assigned in connection with IES's goals and strategy

  • Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers within the business and divisional partners

  • Provide general guidance and support for ES employee and external communications

  • Assist VP/GM in nurturing standard work, lean practices and continuous improvement in aligned with group/division level processes

  • This position manages 1-5 team members


  • 10+ years of experience in strategy development and deployment,

  • Experience driving global cross-organization initiatives

  • Demonstrated ability to provide insight through a detailed review of operational results

  • Strong Project Management skills

  • Strong cross-functional team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable subject

  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization, maintaining alignment between sales, marketing, and operations.

  • Experience operating in a complex environment with multiple competing priorities and deadlines.

  • Demonstrated track record of teamwork, collaboration and inclusion, and the ability to develop strong business relationships across functions and geographies. Strong passion for uncovering strategic opportunities and solving business problems

  • Experience in data gap assessments, requirements and infrastructure implementation

  • Business Acumen: strong fundamental business acumen and operational excellence experience in customer-centric organization with strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues

  • Flexibility: strong ability to perform in a fast paced, changing environment handling multiple demands.

  • Some travel may be required (expected to be in the range of 30% or less)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or GLDP Graduate

  • PMP Certification
