FourFront Design, Inc. Sr. Electrical Engineer, PE in Helena, Montana

Function as the electrical project engineer; responsible for the electrical design of commercial, medical, professional offices, and other buildings.Complete electrical design systems including structural electrical power distribution, lighting, cabling systems. Assess the requirements of the client’s needs; manage the design and production aspects of the project.Promote and provide expertise in sustainable design practices as required by the project. Review design, construction budgets, and schedules to work accordingly.Determine electrical design and project scope, budget, and staffing requirements.Apply intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable codes and ordnances. Work with code officials and other design professionals when an interpretation or exception to building codes is required.Provide construction administrative reviews.Interpret the intent of electrical contract drawings and specifications for the Client, General Contractor, Building Inspector, and other interested parties.Prepare and distribute schedules, shop drawings and samples.Responsible for the accuracy and quality of all technical work.Participate in the preparation of proposals.Review contracts, invoices, and other project documentation before distribution to the client.Coordinate work of outside consultants in electrical engineering.Apply time-management skills for meeting deadlines. Experience Required:Professional Engineering (PE) license required. Minimum of 5 years previous electrical design experience.Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.Willingness to apply for additional licensure when appropriate and/or required for work the region. Knowledge of LEED principles; encouraged to become LEED accredited.Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD required; Visual-3D helpful. Preferred RCDD certification, but not required.Preferred government and Veteran Affairs (VA) experience. Salary: Minimum starting at $100K - max $140K yearly, depending on experience.Location:Job is in office, remote or hybrid. Will be required to travel to site locations within US, via commercial airline and ground transportation. Shift:40 hours per week. Standard workdays and hours of FourFront Design Inc are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Flexibility in schedule considered if job duties are satisfactorily met.
