Change Healthcare Staff Software Engineer - Healthcare Interoperability in Helena, Montana

Overview of Position Provide Technical Leadership to a team in the building a next generation cloud-based Healthcare Interoperability Web Platform leveraging the latest Web Technologies and standards. Provide Tech Leadership to Development Teams to Design, modify, develop and implement web applications to automate, manage, and maintain AWS cloud-based infrastructure and development tools for this new platform. Provides technical support and technical leadership to project team members. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top-level contributor/specialist. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring and architectural guidance to other Software Engineers delivering the latest in Web and Mobile applications in a AWS Cloud Based environment.

  • Hands on Web Frontend Development using ReactJS, Node.js, HTML, CSS

  • Lead Mobile Development Engineers that build Android and Apple iOS applications with React-Native, TypeScript, JSON, Xcode

  • Expert in the Full Stack development including Frontend Single Page Development and Backend REST Web Services

  • Backend development using Java, Lambda, MySQL, Docker, and various AWS services

  • Interface with other teams and coordinate releases in an Agile environment.

  • Work with scrum masters and team members to mature Epics and Stories and assign appropriately

  • Develop and support Lambda services in an AWS Server-less environment.

  • Designs, modifies and supports all product related technology and functionality, including software infrastructure in an AWS hosted environment.

  • Demonstrated technical experience as an application engineer, cloud-based experience preferred.

  • Experience in delivering B2B and/or B2C web applications

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • 5+ years of experience developing applications in the cloud – Amazon Web Services (AWS) preferred but would consider any other public cloud experience.

  • 5+ years of experience developing in Java, Scala, Groovy or other similar object-oriented languages.

  • Communicates proactively and effectively with team members and other product stakeholders in a highly Agile environment.

  • BA/BS degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Certified Amazon Web Services Developer are desired
