As our firm expands, we have opportunities for seasoned leaders looking to make an impact. We seek a Partner in our Tax Practice (https://www.cbh.com/services/tax/) who will be responsible for growing and serving corporate tax clients. Previous service line, regional, market, or industry leadership experience is desirable. This challenging and highly visible role may be based out of any of our offices, or fully remotely within the United States.
You'll be responsible for leading a team that provides federal tax and consulting services/projects, including tax compliance, planning, provision, restructuring, controversy, and research to large middle-market businesses and multi-national corporations. Prior International or M&A tax related experience is desirable. Industry experience in Technology/ Life Sciences, Industrials/Consumer Goods, or similar is preferred. To continue our success, we're looking for a results-driven partner who will contribute to expanding the practice by using their strong professional network presence and by engaging in business development opportunities with other firm leaders. Exceptional business development experience and client relationship skills are necessary. Limited travel should be expected.
Qualifications:
Active CPA and/or JD license; MST or LLM is a plus.
10+ years of experience in business taxation working for a Big 4, large national, or regional accounting firm with a focus on providing federal, multi-state, international tax-related compliance and consulting services to large middle market clients and U.S. based subsidiaries of foreign multinationals.
Technical ASC 740 experience including expertise in corporate tax compliance, planning, and provision.
Prior experience in the following is desirable:
Experience in dealing with corporate international tax compliance, planning, structuring matters, and knowledge of foreign reporting requirements.
Tax compliance & consulting experience related to M&A structuring, planning, and reporting.
Experience with developing the strategy and plans to grow a practice through expansion of services to existing clients and obtaining new clients.
Prior experience utilizing content marketing, social media, and other means to demonstrate and share tax thought leadership, leading to new business opportunities, is desired.
Exceptional client service skills leading to the highest quality of execution and delivery of client engagements.
Demonstrated ability to motivate and empower people and teams.
Excellent and enthusiastic ability to build and maintain relationships, engage others, and establish connections.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
