Facebook Technical Program Manager, Ads Delivery and Ranking in Helena, Montana

Summary:

Facebook is seeking a Technical Program Manager for the Delivery & Ranking of Ads within Facebook App Monetization. The mission of this team is to drive growth across a diverse suite of products (including video ads, story ads, watch ads, lead generation, etc.) by using advanced data science and machine learning techniques to maximize the value of our massive data. Our team is comprised of varying levels of experience and backgrounds, from new grads to industry veterans. Relevant experience is important, but ultimately less so than your demonstrated abilities and attitude. As peers to Engineering Managers and Product Managers, delivery & ranking TPM heavily contribute to the top line of the company.

Required Skills:

  1. Manage cross-functional infrastructure software engineering programs in a matrix organization covering a range of areas.

  2. Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery. Reduce surprises during execution and own progress reporting.

  3. Provide hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases.

  4. Perform risk management and change management on projects.

  5. Develop highly scalable classifiers and tools leveraging machine learning, data regression, and rule based models.

  6. Interface with Facebook's Advanced ML team, Engineering, Data Science, Operations and Research to suggest, collect and synthesize requirements and create effective feature roadmap.

  7. Partner with key product groups across the company to understand and anticipate their ML needs.

  8. Define and own metrics and key performance indicators.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

  2. 7+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product/program management experience.

  3. Experience delivering tech programs or products from inception to delivery.

  4. Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope.

  5. Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership.

  6. Communication experience and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.

  7. Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience.

  8. Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.

  9. Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Deep knowledge of Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence/Computer Vision.

  2. Master's or Ph.D. in Machine Learning, CS, Math, Statistics or related areas.

  3. Experience dealing with projects that cuts across legal, policy.
