The Sales Cloud Performance engineering team is seeking an outstanding front end engineer to help build highly performant web applications.

The role and your impact:

  • You will be responsible for the application experience of millions of Salesforce customers.

  • Pioneer performance methodologies on cutting edge technologies and collaborate with industry experts

  • Prototype and implement performance improvements from code, design, algorithm and architectural perspectives.

  • Design and develop necessary tools to analyze and quantify performance with emphasis on solving/optimizing performance.

  • Build performant frontend applications for enterprise scale.

  • Participate in architectural discussions to influence the development of a hi ghly performant solution.

  • Participate in the team’s on-call rotation to address complex problems in real-time and keep services operational and highly available

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of engineering experience, with at least 4+ years in an engineering role developing , analyzing and optimizing web application performance

  • Expert in JavaScript, CSS, HTML5.

  • Experience with Javascript frameworks like Angular, React, etc. is preferred.

  • Familiarity with browser technologies and internals: Internet Explorer, Edge & Chrome

  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented design and programming concepts

  • Experience with SAAS or PAAS is a plus. Major points for familiarity with multi-tenant architecture.

  • A proven track record of optimization and design improvements for performance and scalability.

  • Outstanding attention to detail and strong communication skills

  • In-depth and clear understanding of web application performance engineering concepts, methodologies, tools, performance & capacity indicators, metrics and analysis.

  • Major points for familiarity with Salesforce architecture

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

LOCATION: We are open to Fully Remote, Flex (1-3 days/week in the office), or Office-Based (4-5 days/week in office) work arrangements.
