Wage: $16-$18/hr DOE
Hours: 8am-5pm M-F
Job Description: Performing a variety of duties involved in the processing, mixing, and bagging of feed, materials handling, inventory, cleaning and maintenance of facilities.
Duties: Employee is required to work with many types of machinery to prepare and load livestock feed. Troubleshooting and maintaining equipment. Loading and unloading trailers with correct feed. Use forklift and pallet jack. Adhere to the cleaning and maintenance schedule. Walk on catwalks and on top of elevator and climb ladders as needed. Perform all activities to complete daily feed mill checklist. Employee will be exposed to many different types of organic grain dust and temperature swings. Position requires pushing, pulling, walking, stooping and bending over.
Work Environment: The noise level is moderate to loud. The physical exertion is moderate to heavy. Work is performed mainly in a feed mill that varies in temperature depending on the weather. The air is constantly dusty. The worker will be exposed to many different types of organic grain dust and may encounter the fauna that is attracted to it. There are frequent employee contacts and interruptions in person and via telephone during the day.
Qualifications: Ability to read, write, and perform arithmetic, ability to lift 50 to 60 pounds, driver's license.
