We are currently seeking a Civil Designer in our office.

As a Civil Designer you will be responsible for:
Supervised design of simple drawings using computer software, spreadsheets, and hand calculations
Verify the project meets scope and code requirements.
Maintain and provide project design documentation for permanent record files.
Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines whose services may be requested.
Recognizes potential project problems quickly and seeks advice of the Project Manager.
Calculate dimensional requirements, costs, and time schedules budgeted for personnel involved and coordinate work on the project.
Conduct periodic job site observations and all other services as required by the contract services agreement.
Responsible for supervised design of simple drawings using computer software, spreadsheets, and hand calculations.
Understanding materials and methods.
The Civil Designer must be able to interpret state and local design criteria and apply it to the specific project needs.

Key skills and abilities needed for the position are:
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans and drawings.
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction.
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs and AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups.

Education and experience requirements are:
5-8 years of experience
College degree preferred
