Kalispell Regional Healthcare Coordinator, Clinical Material Supplies in Kalispell, Montana

Overview

This position is responsible for providing a means to create, develop, implement and maintain a cost effective and reliable acquisition and distribution system for all consumable and reusable supplies for assigned area.

Responsibilities

  1. *Oversees applicable supply and service contracts for assigned area to include the negotiations and responsibility for financial analysis. Performs contract analysis and provides consultative support designated leadership and stakeholders in the areas of supplies, specification, availability, product efficacy, quality control of equipment, instrument procurement and maintenance. Monitors vendor performance

  2. *Analyzes, creates, implements and maintains effective systems for acquisitions, delivery and distribution of materials in the departments by:

  3. Managing flow of supplies into and out of department.

  4. Organizes storage areas to ensure minimal inventory levels, supplies are easily located and efficient inventory flow is maximized.

  5. Organizes, monitors, and maintains a computerized inventory system for supplies and equipment, as applicable, to maximize per levels and inventory turns.

  6. Processes purchase orders for supplies, equipment, services, etc. for assigned department.

  7. *Researches supply and equipment requests, and provides information and quotes.Coordinates equipment/instrument repair processes. Coordinates with departmental staff and physicians regarding product and vendor evaluations, makes recommendations based upon sound analysis of cost, quality and vendor performance.

  8. *Responsible for all aspects of periodic physical inventory as required by Finance.

  9. *Responsible for back order and accrual management and effectively communicates orders to applicable personnel.

  10. *Coordinates defective product processing and recalls/notices per assigned department protocol.

  11. *Coordinates consignment products with vendor representatives.

  12. *Utilizes schedule notifications to contact, confirm, and record case coverage that requires representative presence.

  13. *Coordinates with personnel to reconcile charges/implants/Meditech batch rejections. Responsible for maintenance of national database for implant items.

  14. *Processes bone and tissue receipt per assigned area.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum of one (1) of the following required:

  2. Post high school education or vocational training.

  3. Associates Degree

  4. Minimum of one (1) year experience in materials management.

  5. Minimum of one (1) year experience in a medical setting.

  6. Strong mathematical aptitude required. Strong analytical skills preferred.

  7. Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required. Possess ability to learn other software as needed.

  8. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

  9. Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.

  10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
