Whitefish Credit Union Financial Strategies Analyst in Kalispell, Montana
Position Title: Financial Strategies Analyst
Organizational Relationships: Report to Chief Financial Officer
Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A
General Function: Research, compile, and validate financial and operational data; identify and analyze business trends, opportunities, and obstacles; utilize data modeling to develop independent, unbiased, and data driven forecasts and sensitivity analyses; and present recommendations on the financial and economic impact and viability of emergent strategies and project/initiative proposals. Report to Chief Financial Officer.
Develop, maintain, and provide managers with the tools necessary (e.g., financial and operational dashboards, key performance indicators, and performance benchmarks) to identify, measure, and respond to positions, trends, or variances that may run counter to stated strategic or tactical initiatives.
Engage in cross-functional collaboration with managers representing all business elements of the Credit Union, providing advice and counsel as appropriate; serve as a thought partner to drive projects in areas spanning operational process improvement initiatives, operational excellence, and priority-based resource allocation.
Develop and execute a concise but effective communication strategy, including periodic meetings and reporting, centered on the strategic construction, tactical positioning, and financial performance of the Credit Union.
Be an active participant in the responsibility over data aggregation, including extraction, organization, and scrubbing of various data sets; maintain integrity of data across all data sources.
Elite data analytical skills including the ability to extract, clean, prepare, analyze, visualize, and present data with thoughtful insights for operational and financial improvements; you are comfortable dealing with complexity but can simplify where necessary.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Economics (other relevant degrees will be considered) is required.
CPA and/or MBA is preferred.
Prior experience that demonstrates seasoned research, quantitative, and analytical skills supported with excellent financial modeling, mathematical, statistical, reporting, and presentation skills.
Advanced command of Excel and Microsoft office suite, SQL, and data visualization software (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, DOMO, and QRVEY).
