Kalispell Regional Healthcare Housekeeper in Kalispell, Montana
The Housekeeper provides and maintains an environment which is safe and scientifically planned. This position provides maximum sanitary control with furnishings and the surrounding areas.
*Sweeps, mops, and vacuums floors as needed. Cleans carpeted area by vacuum or extractor, as necessary. Utilizes and maintains equipment and hospital resources appropriately and safely.
*Sanitizes beds, strips, sprays disinfectant and disposes of dirty linen per department procedure.
*Adheres to infection control guidelines as well as observes confidentiality and safeguards for all patient related information. Chooses the correct cleaning supply for the task at hand and follows manufacturer’s instructions for use
*Cleans all assigned restrooms to include, but may not be limited to; mirrors, toilets, sinks, floors and disposal of garbage.
*Keeps areas free from clutter, wipes clean, and vacuums and/or sweeps. Cleans up spills as necessary.
*Empties trash and takes to compactor or assigned area per department procedure.
*Removes soiled laundry from premises and delivers to hospital.
*Replaces sharp containers, disposable supplies (such as soap, toilet paper, paper towels, trash liners), and medical waste containers as needed.
*Cleans various items such as, mirrors, vents, walls, base boards, trash containers, ledges, window ledges, and equipment. Also responsible for general wiping and dusting procedures of light fixtures, doors, and grills in assigned areas.
*Keeps carts and other equipment clean and stored properly. Routinely stocks housekeeping carts and ensures carts are in an orderly manner at the end of each shift.
*Performs all job duties in accordance with State of MT laws and regulations. related to long term care.

Minimum of one (1) year prior experience as a Housekeeper preferred.
Possess ability to follow written and oral instructions required. Prior experience answering phones and responding to pages preferred.
Prior experience interacting with the all age populations preferred.
Knowledge of the proper use of commercial cleaning equipment and devices preferred.
Must be self-motivated as well as establish professional working relationships with patients, co-workers, and staff.
Must possess the ability to interact as part of the Environmental Services Team in a positive, adaptable, and constructive manner. Must possess ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
