Kalispell Regional Healthcare Practice Associate - Rocky Mountain Heart and Lung in Kalispell, Montana
The Practice Associate provides administrative services to support effective and efficient operations in all Practice functional areas.
*Serves as a patient advocate.
*Professionallyprovides reception duties. These include, but may not be limited to; answering phone, accurately taking messages, providing exceptional customer service, etc.
*Responsible for administrative duties which may include, but are not limited to; filing (including electronic), copying, mailing and/or faxing of medical records, preparing patient charts for visits, and appointment reminder calls.
*Performs the complete patient check in and check out process to include patient registration, scheduling appointments, scheduling medical procedures, monitor call backs, collecting co-pays and other cash balancing duties.
*Responsible for completing incoming and outgoing record requests per KRH procedure and protocol.
*Processes insurance information, authorization requests, etc.
*Coordinates referrals to other clinics and/or facilities as needed.
*Responsible for maintaining consistent inventory of department office supplies by communicating with team members and placing orders as applicable.
*Works closely with all staff to create a positive work environment and excellent experience for the patient.
*Multi-tasks, adapts, and promptly follows directions to meet clinic needs.
*Performs Revenue and Revenue Cycle related tasks including, but not limited to; correcting demographic/insurance information on claims, reconciling daily clinic deposits, closing cash drawers, etc.

Minimum of one (1) years’ experience in a healthcare setting or vocational training in healthcare preferred. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel, and ability to learn other software as needed. Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Meditech preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Possess knowledge of office methods, equipment, operations and process preferred.
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
Possess knowledge of the clinical care provided in the office setting along with insurance requirements, scanning and attaching documents within the EMR, back office processes, and medical terminology preferred.
