Stockman Bank of Montana REAL ESTATE LOAN OFFICER in Kalispell, Montana

Position General Responsibilities:
Originate secondary market real estate loans. Represents the Bank in community activities.
Education, Experience and Certification Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
· Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
· Sales Oriented.
· Previous mortgage lending experience.
· Have strong group of local contacts for business development or ability to develop a strong referral source.
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
· Knowledge of secondary market loan process preferred but not required.
Dimension of Job:
Handle the origination and processing for secondary real estate loans and development of new business.
Position Specific Responsibilities, Duties and Competencies
Real Estate Lending Functions:
a. Originates secondary market residential real estate requests which includes, FHA, VA, and conventional loan programs.
b. Possesses the necessary skills to determine applicant's eligibility for qualifying for specific secondary market loan programs.
Real Estate Underwriting, Sales, Funding & Processing:
a. On-going assessment of Real Estate Market to create an effective and competitive market.
b. Communication with the Processing Center to provide the necessary tools to compete in the local market.
c. Work in conjunction with the President, Marketing Officer and Consumer Loan Officer to develop and implement effective retail marketing programs.
New Business Development/Sales/Public Relations:
a. Promote the improvement of Stockman Bank through quality customer service, promotion of products, professionalism in conduct and diligent work ethic.
b. Greet all customers pleasantly and make them feel welcome and comfortable.
c. Handle transactions quickly and professionally.
d. Effectively handle customer questions and problems.
e. Generate profitable new business for the Bank with overall responsibilities for the real estate department, including borrowing and depositor relationships.
f. Maintain business relationship with contacts within the community, which can provide leads on other potential business for the Bank.
g. Regular interaction with Realtors and other retail customers involved in real estate and consumer activities.
h. Cross-selling of other Bank products to real estate and consumer loan department customers, including life insurance and other fee income services.
i. Participation in community events and organizations.
Federal Regulations:
a. Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures that apply to and concern this position’s area of responsibility, including general regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and various other Federal and State regulations as they apply.
