Western States Equipment Company Rental Coordinator in Kalispell, Montana
Handles calls and responds to the needs of walk-in customers. Schedules equipment for rental based on customer needs and equipment availability.
Recommends specific rental purchases based on customer needs.
Negotiates rental rates and pricing that achieves The Cat Rental Stores desired market share and profitability with little supervision.
Coordinates and leads all daily business in assigned location. Coordinates equipment needs. Dispatches Delivery Drivers to pick up and deliver equipment. Coordinates preventive maintenance and repairs with shop.
Follows rental processes and procedures.
Utilizes software programs for all operating functions such as writing agreements, invoicing, transferring equipment, etc.
Utilizes industrial and light construction rental equipment as required.
Handles and resolves customer complaints professionally.
Adheres to all customer care standards.
Actively cares and advocates safety at Western States. Adhere to all applicable safety policies, procedures and standards.
May accomplish training and serve as a team member in support of Western States’ strategic programs, projects, and initiatives.
Works within and promote corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization.
Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge and use of Microsoft computer products or other comparable systems required.
Knowledge or ability to learn Rental software.
Proven skills in written and verbal communications, planning, organizing and interpersonal relationship building.
Ability to set and manage priorities.
Ability to travel overnight.
Must be a self starter and able to work without supervision.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English.
Two years of college preferred.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
One year of experience in a customer-facing role preferred.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time along with walking, sitting, climbing stairs, reaching pushing, pulling, leaning and twisting.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs in accordance with Western States’ Lifting Safe Work Practice to include amount and approach.
Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies.
