Old Dominion Freight Line Weights & Inspections Supervisor in Kalispell, Montana
Responsible for daily supervision and training of inspectors and DIM analysts at the service center locations.
Responsibilities:
Works with and supervises the Inspectors and/or DIM Analyst providing support, guidance and training
Provides additional training as needed for new hires or those with high errors or low production
Helps monitor all aspects of the inspection program. Helps to maintain goals and reduce errors
Position requires time in the office, on the dock and traveling
Will also handle any disputes or provide information needed concerning an inspection or reweigh that is brought to their attention
Verification of the correct NMFC class and freight charges as needed
Includes supporting local management or sales with needed information or to help educate those people as it relates to the classification or published pricing
Will support local management or other locations as it relates to the reweigh program
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
5 years of weighing & inspections experience
Strong knowledge of the DIM system and reweigh process
High attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
Problem solving and interpersonal skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Knowledge of general DOT regulations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
