CITY OF LAUREL COURT CLERK I in LAUREL, Montana
The City of Laurel is accepting applications for a Court Clerk I to perform technical office work in administrative support for the Court relating to the preparation and processing of court cases. Qualifications: - Graduation from High School or its equivalent; - Able to type 60 WPM. (Must provide documentation); - A minimum of two (2) years' work experience in an office environment (Legal experience preferred); - Understands the principles and practices of customer service; - Proficient with personal computers and software; - Able to follows standard office practices and procedures; - Able to perform accurate data entry; - Able to operate a variety of office equipment, including a keyboard, telephone, calculator, copier and fax machine; - Able to operate personal computers, including database, word processing and other related software; - Capable of establishing and maintaining effective working relationship with other City personnel, court officials and the general public; - Able to work independently with minimal supervision; - Able to write legibly and utilize correct grammar, spelling and punctuation; - Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; - Able to interact in a helpful manner with citizens and members of the public; - Able to keep all court matters confidential. Hours: Anticipated hours are a minimum of 32 hours per week Monday through Friday, but could include additional hours due to the court workload. Wage: $19.29 per hour.
