SPIKA DESIGN & MANUFACTURING INC Assembler in LEWISTOWN, Montana

Wage: $18-$24/hr

Hours: Full Time

Position Overview:

POSITION OVERVIEW The Assembler is responsible for the final assembly of products, performing tasks such as mechanical assembly and finishing, with flexibility to take on specialized assignments like powder coating, wiring, and plumbing when needed. Assemblers are expected to work precisely, identify and document issues, and follow established processes to resolve them. Training for additional skills may be provided based on production needs and employee interest.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Assembly: Accurately assemble products by following blueprints, CAD models, and other data sets, ensuring parts and sub-assemblies are correctly aligned, secured, and functional. Maintain attention to detail to meet quality and performance standards.

Specialized Assignments: Perform additional tasks such as powder coating, wiring, or plumbing when required and as training allows. Be adaptable to take on these specialized assignments as production needs arise.

Problem Solving and Adaptation: Collaborate with engineering and design teams to overcome challenges, and make real-time adjustments to account for unique materials, part features, or new design requirements.

Quality Assurance and Issue Identification: Inspect final assemblies to confirm they meet design specifications and quality standards.

Proactively identify issues and follow the appropriate processes to document and seek approval for any necessary adjustments.

Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements. Actively participate in team discussions focused on enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.

Safety: Follow all safety protocols and company policies, ensuring a clean and organized work area to promote a safe manufacturing environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in assembly work within a manufacturing or custom fabrication environment.

Proficiency in basic mechanical assembly and finishing techniques, with willingness to train in powder coating, wiring, and plumbing as needed.

Ability to interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical documents.

Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Skills in problem identification, with the discipline to follow processes for resolution.

Knowledge of safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The position works mostly indoors with exposure to moderate-to-loud noise.
