FERGUS CO COUNCIL ON AGING Bus Driver in LEWISTOWN, Montana
Full time position (36-40 hours per week).
HOURS: Monday - Friday (flexible hours)
WAGE: DOE
DUTIES:
Transports by bus and van the elderly, handicapped, and the general public passengers for their needs according to the schedules provided by the transportation department of the Council on Aging. Provides professional care to riders and is conscientious about recordkeeping.
DUTIES:
Thorough daily pre-trip inspection of bus or van
Escorts clients from their home to their respective destination, using a wheelchair if necessary
Carries bags to the client?s door as
Provides scheduled transportation to outlying communities
Complies with local and state traffic regulations
Agrees to and passes drug testing and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing during the course of employment per all FTA regulations
Regulates heating, cooling, lighting, ventilating, and radio systems for passenger comfort
Maintains cleanliness of interior and exterior of buses on a weekly basis or as needed
Reports delays to the Transportation Coordinator
Reports accidents immediately to the Transportation Coordinator, prior to moving the vehicle
Reports problems with bus or clients to the Transportation Coordinator
QUALIFICATIONS: :
Must have a valid Montana driver?s license, may include with CDL endorsement, Class C, Type 2 and DOT physical
CPR and First Aid Certificates
Passenger Service and Safety (PASS) training required. A;; trainings required by the agency are provided.
Must be able stoop, bend, stretch, and climb ladders
Must be able to complete the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a regular basis; as well as sitting, standing, stooping, or squatting for extended periods of time
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Specific hearing capabilities abilities require ability to hear and communicate with a two-way radio and telephone or cellphone
