ONE HEALTH Medical Assistant in LEWISTOWN, Montana

Full time positionHOURS: Monday - FridayWAGE: $16.92 - $18.03 DOEDUTIES:1.Greets patients and prepares them for provider examination. Screens patients for appropriate information and enters it into the patient?s electronic medical records including the medication list.2.Performs vital signs and measures height and weight3.Maintains examination rooms with necessary supplies and materials. Ensures cleanliness.4.Sterilize and clean the instruments used and dispose the contaminated supplies.5.Assesses individual and family needs, working cooperatively with the health care team.6.Administers prescribed treatments or emergency care, performs diagnostic tests as authorized, and administers preventive immunizations or treatments, as authorized.7.Answers the telephone in a courteous and professional manner, takes messages as needed, and routes calls or messages to the appropriate staff member.8.Assists with patient phone calls, working to process medication refills and/or patient questions.9.Completes pre-visit planning.10.Leads and/or actively participates in huddle, performs follow up on scheduling, actively involved in the day-to-day clinic scheduling and patient flow issues, missed opportunities, and chart reviews.11.Prepares equipment and aids provider during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.12.Works collaboratively with One Health professionals to enhance patient health education, provides information, and arranges referrals and/or encourages compliance, as appropriate.13.Conducts follow-up and monitoring of care plan in conjunction with the One Health team.14.Participates in problem-solving, and quality improvements throughout the clinic.15.Works with the nursing staff in chronic disease management.16.Assists with vaccine reconciliation, as necessary.17.Assists patients with paperwork as necessary, including One Health patient documents and outside agency documents that enhance collaborative care.18.Participates in development of procedures, protocols, standards, and regulations appropriate for patient care.19.Participates in performance optimization and risk management activities as required. 20.Adheres to all One Health Policies and Procedures.21.Cooperates and abides by all elements of One Health?s Compliance Program. 22.Provides exceptional customer service and models the mission of One Health when interacting with internal and external stakeholders promoting a positive image for One Health.23.Other duties may be assigned as required or needed with or without prior notification.QUALIFICATIONS:REQUIREDHigh school diploma or equivalentPREFERREDTwo (2) years of community health and/or physician's office experience
