State of Montana Supply Clerk in Lewistown, Montana
* * * *The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Montana Mental Health Nursing Care Center as a Supply Clerk. The Montana Mental Health Nursing Care Center (MMHNCC) provides nursing and psychiatric care for persons with a mental disorder that renders them unable to be served appropriately in a community setting. It is licensed as a 100-bed nursing facility. The Supply Clerk: purchases item's, receives orders and delivers supplies to the business, nursing, dietary, housekeeping, and laundry departments and residents of the Nursing Care Center. Major Duties or Responsibilities: Orders and delivers supply items for various departments. · Places and receives orders, collects supplies, and delivers them as appropriate. · Completes issue forms and maintains records of issues. · Identifies and orders low stock items and new item requests. · Research and analyze cost-effective methods for all purchase orders. Receives incoming freight and stocks storerooms.* * · Unloads delivery trucks, and checks freight items against order and invoice. · Delivers items to appropriate storeroom and stocks items. · Rotates stock to ensure first in – first out. · Notifies Purchasing Agent of order discrepancies and assists in resolution. · Processes purchase orders for payment. · Counts, assigns stock numbers to all items delivered to the facility to provide inventory control. · Cleans and organizes storerooms and freezers. Maintains computerized inventory system of stock items and equipment. * · Enters receipts and issues of supplies into computer program. · Creates usage reports and other necessary reports. · Conducts monthly inventory count of all Food items. · Conducts annual inventory count of all other supplies and equipment to account for facility usage · Maintains records for all inventory counts conducted. *Physical and Environmental Demands:Working conditions are in an institution for mental disease. Must be able to interact in a positive manner with staff and residents. Walking, standing, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 80 pounds. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Behaviors): * *Required for the first day of work: * General accounting practices, business communications, and records management * Microsoft Office products (word, excel) * Communicating effectively both verbally and in writing. Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience): · The above knowledge, skills and abilities are typically acquired through a high-school diploma AND two years job related work experience in a customer service environment. Other alternatives of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
