Libby School District 4 2024-25 0.5FTE Academic Interventionist in Libby, Montana
I. NATURE OF POSITION:
The Academic Interventionist shall be responsible to the Principals and the School Superintendent.
The Academic Interventionist will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing student learning by identifying academic challenges, developing intervention strategies, and collaborating with teachers and parents to implement effective solutions.
II. TYPICAL DUTIES:
Conduct assessments to identify students at risk of academic challenges.
Analyze student performance data to determine specific areas of need.
Develop customized intervention plans based on individual student needs.
Collaborate with teachers and other educational professionals to align interventions with classroom instruction.
Provide direct intervention services to students, either individually or in small groups.
Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to address identified learning gaps.
Regularly assess and monitor the progress of students receiving interventions.
Adjust intervention plans as needed based on ongoing assessment data.
Work closely with classroom teachers to coordinate interventions and support.
Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and intervention strategies.
Stay current on educational research and best practices related to academic intervention.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
III. PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
MT Teaching License
Proven experience in academic intervention and support.
Strong understanding of diverse learning needs and effective instructional strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.
Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Has a deep understanding of instructional methodologies, and a commitment to fostering academic success for all students.

Salary Range $18,665.00 - DOE / Per Year
