Libby School District 4 2024-25 0.5FTE Academic Interventionist in Libby, Montana

I. NATURE OF POSITION:

  • The Academic Interventionist shall be responsible to the Principals and the School Superintendent.

  • The Academic Interventionist will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing student learning by identifying academic challenges, developing intervention strategies, and collaborating with teachers and parents to implement effective solutions.

    II. TYPICAL DUTIES:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students at risk of academic challenges.

  • Analyze student performance data to determine specific areas of need.

  • Develop customized intervention plans based on individual student needs.

  • Collaborate with teachers and other educational professionals to align interventions with classroom instruction.

  • Provide direct intervention services to students, either individually or in small groups.

  • Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to address identified learning gaps.

  • Regularly assess and monitor the progress of students receiving interventions.

  • Adjust intervention plans as needed based on ongoing assessment data.

  • Work closely with classroom teachers to coordinate interventions and support.

  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and intervention strategies.

  • Stay current on educational research and best practices related to academic intervention.

  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

    III. PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MT Teaching License

  • Proven experience in academic intervention and support.

  • Strong understanding of diverse learning needs and effective instructional strategies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.

  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Has a deep understanding of instructional methodologies, and a commitment to fostering academic success for all students.

Primary Location Libby Elementary School

Salary Range $18,665.00 - DOE / Per Year
