Position overview: Serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team with the overall responsibilities for sales, marketing, brand management, communications, and public relations for all lines of business. Serve as senior executive for issues related to media and business. Essential responsibilities: * Direct all enterprise-wide sales and marketing functions including sales growth and retention, brand management, advertising, market research, communications, and public relations. Develop, guide, implement, and maintain sales, marketing, and communications strategies in support of the overall mission and business strategy for PacificSource. These plans should define a vision for meeting current and future sales, marketing, and branding needs while ensuring alignment and integration with the overall vision, mission, and values of PacificSource. Work in collaboration with product line and regional leaders to execute these strategies. * Serve as the lead executive and point person for managing the PacificSource brand, internally and externally. * Direct work of the VP of Sales and the VP of Enterprise Marketing, and work with product line and regional executives, other company leaders and support staff to develop, implement, drive, and support PacificSource's growth. * Interact with the public, including providers, business leaders, regulators, legislators, potential customers, group administrators, members, and vendors. Participate and represent PacificSource in state, federal, industry groups and task forces. * Ensure that all health plan activities are performed in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing health insurance. * Operate division with maximum efficiency, accuracy, consistency and quality of service. Work with direct reports and other executives to identify and implement opportunities for increased efficiency and/or service improvement. * Ensure that sound human resources concepts are consistently applied throughout the division, thereby achieving teamwork, employee security, mutual respect, maintenance of the highest level of professionalism, and a stake in PacificSource's success. * Oversee all activities related to hiring, staff development, coaching, performance evaluation, corrective action, and termination of employees throughout the division. * Develop and monitor annual division and department budgets. * Coordinate business activities by maintaining collaborative partnerships with key departments. * Actively participate as a key team member on the Executive Leadership Team and Senior Management Group. * Actively participate in various internal committees and task forces, as needed. SUCCESS PROFILE Work experience: Fifteen years of senior management experience in a health plan, health system, and/or medical group environment preferred, with a strong track record in sales and marketing. Must be a versatile, business-minded individual with strong organizational management, marketing, and sales, and outstanding leadership skills.
