Stockman Bank of Montana REAL ESTATE LOAN OFFICER in Manhattan, Montana

Position General Responsibilities:

Develop residential real estate loans. Support in Home Equity area and Credit Line when appropriate. Represents the Bank in community activities.

Education, Experience and Certification Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

  2. Minimum 1-3 years in Real Estate Lending/Originating.

  3. Knowledge of secondary markets and packaging of real estate loans.

  4. Have strong group of local contacts for business development.

  5. Four years of post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  6. Strong communication and organizational skills.

Dimension of Job:

Handle the origination, recommendations and processing for real estate loans and development of new business.

Position Specific Responsibilities, Duties and Competencies

Real Estate Lending Functions:

  • Originates, recommends and begins processing of residential real estate (FHA, VA, secondary market) requests. Possesses the necessary underwriting skills to determine eligibility of applicants to qualify for conventional FHA/VA loan programs.

  • Detailed knowledge of secondary markets for real estate loans.

  • Detailed knowledge of various other loan programs for the Bank’s, including construction loans.

Real Estate Underwriting, Sales, Funding & Processing:

  • On-going assessment of Bozeman Real Estate Market to create an effective and competitive market.

  • Communication with the Processing Center to provide the necessary tools to compete in the Bozeman market.

  • Work in conjunction with the Department Manager to develop and implement effective retail marketing programs.
