Missoula Works Kitchen Steward at the Ranch at Rock Creek in Missoula, MT, Montana

The Kitchen Steward plays a supportive role to the kitchen team and assists in maintaining the cleanliness and maintenance of all kitchen equipment and cooking area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-Maintains sanitation and cleanliness standards consistent with current health department requirements.
-Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, food storage areas, walk-in fridges, freezers, ovens, and dry storage cupboards.
-Properly clean and store dishes and other kitchen equipment in the correct areas.
-Fill dish washing machines and ensure the correct levels of cleaning chemicals are being used.
-Assists with basic food prep as well as plating assistance for banquets and special parties.
-When required, participates in putting away of all food inventory.
-Report all accidents and breakages to the Kitchen Manager.
-Communicates regularly and effectively with Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef/Sous Chef about departmental issues.
-Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.
-Consistently reports to work as required by daily and seasonal needs.
-Inform management of hazardous situations, emergencies, or threats to the security of guests or employees.
-Performs work in a safe and high quality manner.
-Complies with laws, ordinances and regulations governing food preparation, service and disposal.
