Summary Job Description:
Monitor mental health services to children, provide training and consultation to staff and parents, and maintain
documentation. Monitor compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards for mental health and Child
Development and Health Services Plan. Attend child staffing and parent teacher conferences as requested. Conduct
observations of children in classroom/home/community setting as warranted. Assist with development of behavior
plans for children with challenging behaviors
Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Training
Master’s degree in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Special Education, or related field. Licensed or
certified mental health professional. Knowledge of and experience in serving young children and their families.
