Providence Data Developer in Missoula, Montana
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Data Developer to our location in Portland, OR, or any states within the Providence Footprint ( AK, CA, MT, WA)
We are seeking a Data Developer who will work under the direction of Enterprise Care Management leaders utilizing his/her advanced subject matter expertise and coding skills to design advanced data sources, data processing solutions, develop quality assurance processes, and documentation. This position is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of reports, ETL and automation processes, and supporting documentation. This position is responsible for managing, updating, and optimizing all data mart tables and data assets required to support ECMC.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Data Management: Acquiring, validating, storing, protecting, and processing required data to ensure the accessibility, reliability, and timeliness of the data for its users.
Data Acquisition: Utilizes advanced SQL, SnowSQL, Synapse, Databricks, Informatica, Alteryx, and/or other tools for complex data acquisition, and/or is an advanced user of graphical user interface-based programs for very complex data acquisition projects
Data Architecture: Designs advanced data sources, views and summaries and creates functional data architecture using proven strategies and schemas.
Data Validation / Accuracy: Develops quality assurance processes; performs data validation; critically evaluates the output to produce reports with a high degree of accuracy.
Reporting: Design and develop data solutions utilizing Power BI, Tableau, SQL, SSIS, and / or other tools.
Display / Visualization: Performs visualization design; completes challenging visualization projects independently; utilizes good sensibility in visual storytelling
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management, Computer Science, Mathematics, business administration, healthcare or a related clinical or analytic discipline or equivalent education/experience.
4 years of relevant data management, data mart, and / or data architecture experience.
4 years of relevant data analysis experience.
Experience with database query and analysis languages (e.g. SQL, R, SAS, Python) and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI).
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in Health Information Management, Computer Science, Mathematics, business administration, healthcare or a related clinical or analytic discipline.
4 years of relevant data analysis experience in a biomedical setting.
Certification in an IT discipline, application, or tool within 1 year of hire.
