Envirocon, Inc. Hydraulic Component Specialist in Missoula, Montana
Modern Machinery has an immediate opportunity for an experienced technician who is specialized in the rebuild and repair of hydraulic pumps, motors, and hydraulic control valves. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience in a dealership setting and have a high degree of knowledge in parts reusability and having worked with all manufacturers of hydraulic pumps and motors. The applicant will be responsible for managing their workload, scheduling repairs with customers, and ordering parts.
The hourly pay range for this position is: $30.00 to $51.00. This is a non-exempt position and is eligible for overtime pay. Required Skills/Job Requirements:
Must demonstrate troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time along with walking, reaching, pulling, leaning, and twisting.
Must be able to work well independently or with others in a team environment.
Must be reliable, honest, and have a strong work ethic.
Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with customers and co-workers.
Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
Must own required tools.
Ability to work overtime with minimal notice.
Must have basic computer skills.
Must be able to evaluate re-usability, recondition parts, operate a flat lapping table, and hand lap rotating groups.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma required, associate or bachelor's degree in diesel technology or related field preferred and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 5 years verifiable experience.
Prior dealership experience is beneficial.
Experience with Komatsu & Komatsu Forest as the primary equipment line is preferred, but not required.

Assess parts to determine the cause of failure and/or their reusability.
Communicate with parts department personnel to order the necessary parts required to complete repair(s).
Customer satisfaction is our priority at Modern Machinery; all customer inquiries must be handled promptly and in a professional manner.
Complete and submit assigned work order reports, time entry and all other paperwork daily.
When appropriate compile any additional documentation necessary for completeness.
Assist other technicians on large repairs or projects.
Attend and participate in appropriate training(s).
Perform other duties as requested by the Service Manager or Supervisor.
