The pay for this position is $24.11 per hour.The Health Department is seeking a Performance Management & Quality Improvement Coordinator to join their team. Incomplete applications will be disqualified.Complete job description available upon request to the Department of Human Resources.Representative Examples of Work Provides professional and administrative support to the management team, department director, and department teams in department-wide performance management planning, preparation, documentation; quality improvement, and accreditation activities. Coordinates department-wide efforts to ensure that performance management (PM) and quality improvement (QI) programs are conducted using a data-driven focus that aligns improvement targets with board, department, and community strategic initiatives. Coordinates the collection, development, and analysis of data and other information; compiles progress reports, evaluation and planning documents; records group decisions; creates and manages tracking templates for documents and training. Drafts policies, procedures, and plans to develop PM and QI activities. Participates in department and community strategic and health improvement planning. Provides coordination for improving the organization’s core public health functions and evaluating the impact that systems improvements have on the public’s health. Leads the department’s performance management and quality improvement committee. Plans, conducts, and documents activities related to the standards of the Public Health Accreditation Board and works closely with lead staff on sustaining accreditation. Plans and attends meetings and planning groups. Prepares and presents program area reports to agencies, boards, and the public. Researches and develops performance management and quality improvement training programs. Performs literature reviews, gathers and compiles a variety of materials and information, and disseminates materials in various formats including electronic. Prioritizes and plans work activities using resources effectively. May write and administer grants related to performance management, quality improvement, and accreditation activities.Minimum QualificationsRequires a Bachelor's degree. Various degrees suited for this position, including public health, science, social science, health science, business, education, planning, and other health-related fields.Master of Public Health or other master’s degree desired.Requires two years of experience in technical writing and/or research. Experience in Performance Management and Quality Improvement desired. Project management experience desired.Experience working in the field of quality improvement desired.Experience in or familiarity with governmental public health or healthcare accreditation desired.Physical/Environmental DemandsWorks primarily in an office setting. Requires occasional medium lifting up to 25 lbs.
