Position Summary: Content (Personal Property) Restoration Technician

The Content Restoration Technician provides various disaster recovery services to residential and commercial clients. This position would be aimed towards packing out personal property in homes and or commercial office setting, doing a very thorough detailed inventory of what you are packing out using a smart cellular phone. Cell phone should be employee-owned and approved by the branch, in which they will receive a monthly phone stipend from the company.

Loading/unloading contents in and out and trucks. Cleaning contents in our facility using a variety of professional methods. Conducting a thorough structure cleaning in a home after a fire loss or other type of cleaning. Candidate must be able to follow all assigned work orders and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

General Responsibilities(not an all inclusive list):

  • Use a hand held electronic device to complete a full inventory of customers contents.

  • Pack contents up with protection and care to avoid damage.

  • Complete pack backs and resets of all contents.Frequent lifting, carrying and placing boxes of belongings.

  • Provide post construction cleaning to prepare a house for occupancy

  • Follow procedures for cleaning structures and contents and handling customers’ possessions.

  • Thoroughly clean smoke residue from contents and structure.

  • Be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe job site at all times.

  • Able to work well in team environments as well as alone.

  • Comfortable using computer software programs

  • On call for 1 week every month.

  • Traveling to our other stores, and job sites, in MT. Per Diem and hotel expenses are paid by the company.

  • Weekly cleaning of the shop/offices

Working Conditions:

  • Will often work in dirty and or wet conditions.

  • Able to lift and carry boxes of 50lbs or less.

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided for use and at times is mandatory. This may include but is not limited to, gloves, respirators, safety glasses, hard hats and Tyvek suits.

  • Work boots or tennis shoes must always be worn while on job sites or in the warehouse.

  • The nature of the work requires technicians to be working with cleaning, deodorization and antimicrobial products daily.

  • Some overtime may be required on a periodic basis.

Are you “The Right Person?” The ideal candidate will be an effective team player who demonstrates leadership and good communication, mechanical and technical skills. IICRC certifications are an asset in addition to 2+ years experience in restoration, but not a must. You must have a clean valid driver license and be able to lift up to 50lbs. All candidates must have the capacity to be on an on-call rotation which includes the ability to attend emergencies during evenings and weekends.
