NewFields is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator in our Missoula, MT office. The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting our Project Managers in planning, tracking, and scheduling our projects such that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality. This position requires communication skills, the ability to multi-task in a deadline-oriented environment with little supervision, and a willingness to perform administrative and management tasks that may not specifically be in the job description

Projects currently managed from the Missoula, Montana office of NewFields include the following:
Water rights, groundwater flow, and groundwater quality;
Due diligence, permitting, compliance, and closure for mines; and
Environmental assessment and cleanup of underutilized property, often funded by grants from the EPA Brownfields Program.
Experience:A minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative capacity is required.
Education:High School Diploma; a college degree is preferred but not required
Computer Software Programs:Must be proficient in Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, and Excel, with working knowledge of Access, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook applications. Knowledge of project management software is preferred but not required.
Travel:travel to client meetings in Montana and the Western US may be required but will likely be limited
Physical Demands:Position requires sitting for long periods of time, repetitive hand motions, extended hours working on a computer, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Participate in project meetings.
Plan and manage team goals, project schedules and new information.
Supervise current projects and coordinate all team members to keep workflow on track.
Manage project-related files.
Proofread and publish project proposals, plans, and reports.
Write memos, meeting minutes, and emails.
Assemble background information for technical reports (training and oversight to be provided).
Monitor project expenses and help project managers identify measures to increase value and/or save costs.
Convey a high level of professionalism in written and verbal communications to effectively interface with staff personnel, clients, and vendors.
Set up and manage paper or electronic filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork, or maintaining documents, such as correspondence, or other material.
Perform other duties as assigned.
