Consumer Direct Care Network provides service and support that help individuals and families of all ages including children, older adults and people with disabilities, remain safe, healthy and independent in their own homes. The Accounting Department, which conducts the accounting for several locations throughout the country, is headquartered in beautiful Missoula, Montana. The Senior Accountant will report to the Accounting Supervisor and will require a diverse skillset that includes: high proficiency in technical accounting, accurate and detailed balance sheet reconciliation, efficient and timely month-end and annual close, robust audit support and attention to detail, adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax compliance, continual process improvements, and investigative ad hoc analysis.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of recent, direct accounting experience in a multi-subsidiary setting specializing in highly detailed reconciliations and investigative ad hoc analysis to ensure accurate, reliability financial reporting. This position requires strong attention to detail and initiative-taking.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Prepare monthly accounting for multiple subsidiaries including balance sheet review, reconciliations, closing entries, and financial reporting
Perform key account analyses and reconciliations, including the timely investigation and resolution of discrepancies and reconciling items
Participate in audits and coordination with the external auditors
Assist with special projects and initiatives to optimize the effectiveness of existing business applications, technologies and systems, and to build efficiencies/improvements into current business processes
Support refinement and maintenance of the accounting/financial policies, practices, internal controls, and operating procedures to ensure the integrity of the Company’s internal control structure
3-5 years’ of recent, direct accounting experience, preferred public accounting, corporate and/or multi-subsidiary company experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
Master of Accountancy preferred
Work experience as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA obtained or currently pursuing)
Exceptional analytical, systemic and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work in teams or effectively work independently
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Knowledge in GAAP and the ability to apply principles and practices to accounting matters
Prior experience with allocations of expenses across our companies a major plus
Strong written and oral communication skills with proven ability to interact effectively with internal customers, management, and external professionals
Advanced MS Excel knowledge with familiarity with formulas, VLOOKUPs, and pivot tables
Strong value of integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
Self starter and team player.
Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced environment
Experience with large Enterprise Resource Planning systems
Public accounting experience preferred
