Providence Surgical Technologist, Certified in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling a Certified Surgical Technologist (Operating Room, Variable, 0.0 FTE) to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. In this position you will:
Anticipate surgeon’s needs throughout procedures.
Assist Circulating Nurse in proper identification of specimens.
Assist in draping patient and operative area.
Assist surgical team with safe transfer of patient from carrier to OR table and from table back to carrier.
Assist, under RN circulator supervision, with circulation duties.
At the end of the surgery, assists in applying dressings and preparing patient for transfer to carrier and PACU.
Clean room according to policies and procedures in expedient manner.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
National certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist required within 3 months of hire
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies: American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider), American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), or Military Training Network (MTN) – (Healthcare Provider) upon hire
Preferred qualification for this position include:
- One year Operating Room experience
