An early childhood education facility seeks a part-time TEACHER. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a developmentally-appropriate program for 16-18 preschool-aged children. Teachers create a healthy, safe, learning environment and assist children with improving self-confidence and social skills, while promoting intellectual and physical growth. Teachers encourage parents in educational activities, attend parent meetings, maintain timely records, and follow the employer's policies and procedures. Teachers are required to attend meetings and training, to work cooperatively with others, and to observe and document children's behavior and development. Qualified applicants must have at least an associates or bachelor's degree in child development or early childhood education or equivalent coursework. Preferred is a bachelor's degree in early childhood education or child development and one year of experience working with children in Head Start, day care, or preschool setting.
