SALISH KOOTENAI COLLEGE Dual Enrollment Coordinator in PABLO, Montana
General Summary: The Dual Enrollment (DE) Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the planning and implementation of dual enrollment, concurrent enrollment, and early college programming at Salish Kootenai College and SKC's Reserve Perkins Grant for Career & Technical Education (CTE) .This position will work with Flathead Reservation high schools to develop and implement dual enrollment courses and programs, linking high school CTE programs with SKC's certificate and two-year programs. The Coordinator will participate in promoting and creating dual enrollment courses at SKC and provide outreach to inform students on the Flathead Reservation about Pathways, dual enrollment, ABE Bridge Program, and related CTE support efforts to positively impact students educational and career opportunities. The Coordinator will provide individual career and college counseling for dual enrollment students. The Coordinator will also facilitate student enrollment as dual enrollment or early college students, assisting with registration and business processes as needed. A portion of this position is supported byCommunity Health and Development which will require some assistance to develop and implement activities that align specific grant-funded projects. This position promotes awareness of culture and traditions of Salish Kootenai College as outlined in the SKC Mission, Vision, and Mission Objectives. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in education, business, career and technical education or related disciple; master's degree preferred. A minimum of one years' experience working in high school settings, including organizing and proctoring field trips for high school students; demonstrated track record of teaching and/or working with Native American students; proficient computer skills, including EXCEL, word processing, and data analysis. The position requires the individual to be a team player able to work effectively with others in a fast-paced environment while being able to independently problem-solve; be self-directed, dependable, and have professional work habits; and have reliable transportation. Two years teaching experience at the secondary level or postsecondary level preferred. Local travel required; state ornational travel may also be required.
