SALISH KOOTENAI COLLEGE IT/Computer Science Faculty in PABLO, Montana
General Summary: This position requires the faculty member to teach courses in the areas of Information Technology and Computer Science/Programming. The workload will be equivalent to a full-time equivalent teaching load of 15 credits per quarter. The position is in the Department of Information Technology, Engineering, and Computer Science (ITECS). Which offers degree programs in Information Technology (A.S.), Computer Science (A.S.), and Pre-Engineering and Computer Programming Certificates of Completion. The department has 2 current full-time faculty members and two adjunct faculty. The employee will maintain positive relationships with students, faculty, staff and administration; and treat others with respect and dignity, recognizing the uniqueness of students, colleagues, and Salish Kootenai College (SKC).
Qualifications: B.S in Information Technology/Computer Science or a related field. Or equivalent and relevant experience working in IT or CS fields. Must have ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and the ability to communicate through written, spoken and visual media. Demonstrated skills in system administration, information security, and network administration. Demonstrated skills in Python, Java, and/or C programming languages. Proof of working knowledge with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems. Have knowledge of or be open to learning about the Salish and Kootenai Tribes and the mission and goals of Salish Kootenai College.
