The Polson Chamber of Commerce is seeking a part-time Office Assistant. Key Qualifications and Skills: This position requires exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of individuals. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and social media management tools is essential. Familiarity with the area-both current and historical-is a valuable asset that will enhance the quality of service provided. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Customer Service: -Manage customer interactions via phone, email, and walk-ins. -Provide accurate and timely information to members and visitors. 2. Chamber Bucks Program: -Facilitate the sale, collection, and redemption of Chamber Bucks. 3. Administrative Support: -Collect, date, and distribute mail. -Maintain pamphlet stock and prepare informational bags for various audiences (e.g., Airbnb hosts, event organizers, Cherry Festival participants). -Update and manage the office calendar, ensuring timely additions and changes. 4. Event Preparation and Support: -Assist with event readiness tasks, including creating pinwheels, preparing parade materials, assembling cleanup bins, and developing information packets for B2B and Business Pulse events. 5. Office Maintenance: -Perform general office upkeep, including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and handling trash and recycling. -Decorate the office for seasonal events and celebrations. -Assist with mailing invoices and provide additional support to the Office Manager as needed. 6. Social Media Management: -Create, schedule, and manage content for the organization's social media platforms. -Monitor and engage with followers to foster community interaction. -Analyze social media metrics to optimize performance and engagement. 7. Technology and Software Proficiency: -Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel efficiently for creating documents, spreadsheets, and reports. -Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all digital tasks. The position is 20 to 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday. There will be occasional after-hour events, such as Business Pulse, Cherry Festival, parades, fireworks, Chamber Banquet, etc., but the total hours will not exceed more than 30 hours per week with these events. Hours are 10 am to 2 pm September through May and 10 am to 3 pm June through August. Starting wage is $14.50 per hour; performance raises will occur.
