Caldbeck Logging in Polson is seeking a seasonal Wildlands Firefighter for out of area, out of state, assignments during fire season. This job would also include being a logging equipment operator in Flathead/Lake Counties when not fighting fires. Must have Yellow Card (Machinery Operator) and experience fighting fires and using firefighting machinery. Yellow Card refresher class is 25 March or complete training on your own. Starting pay for Logging Equipment Operator is $20 per hour, higher wage is dependent on experience. Seasonal fire fighting wage as Equipment Operator wage is starts at $600 per day (12-14 hour days). CDL Driver is preferred but not required. This is a drug testing position and a smoke free environment.
