HI-LINE COMPANY Manager in Training (Deli & Coffee Bar) in RONAN, Montana
We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Manager in Training (MIT) for our deli and coffee bar operations. This position is designed to develop future leaders by providing hands-on experience in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of food service quality. The MIT will work closely with the store manager and other supervisors to learn all aspects of managing a deli and coffee bar, from inventory management to employee development. Key Responsibilities: ? Leadership & Team Development: ? Assist in overseeing daily operations of the deli and coffee bar. ? Lead by example and ensure team members provide excellent customer service. ? Train, coach, and mentor staff members to ensure they meet company standards. ? Assist with scheduling and assigning tasks to deli and barista workers. ? Operational Management: ? Learn and implement food preparation processes, safety guidelines, and sanitation procedures. ? Ensure food quality and presentation meet company standards. ? Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the deli and coffee bar. ? Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and place orders as needed. ? Oversee food storage, labeling, and rotation to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. ? Customer Service & Sales: ? Handle escalated customer concerns in a professional and timely manner. ? Monitor customer satisfaction and suggest improvements to enhance the guest experience. ? Assist with handling transactions, including cash handling, sales reporting, and ensuring the accuracy of daily sales records. ? Assist in executing promotional activities to drive sales growth. ? Financial Management: ? Assist with cost control by managing labor, food waste, and supply usage. ? Learn to analyze sales data and financial reports to optimize operations and profitability. ? Compliance & Safety: ? Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to by staff. ? Learn to implement company policies and ensure employees are following guidelines. Continued on Back ? Participate in safety and sanitation audits and ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary. Training and Development Focus Areas: ? Customer service excellence and conflict resolution ? Leadership and team development strategies Qualifications: ? 1-2 years of experience in a deli, coffee bar, or food service environment is preferred. ? Strong leadership qualities and a desire to develop managerial skills. ? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. ? Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. ? Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. ? Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. ? A passion for customer service and food quality. ?
